Yr 12 Work Experience Week

Congratulations to all the Year 12 students on their very successful work experience week.  Students went to a variety of companies including solicitors, doctors, engineers, local government offices and schools to name a few.  

The feedback from students and employers was extremely positive.  There were so many to choose from but some employer comments included:

• “he applied himself with enthusiasm and fitted into the team with ease”
• “worked well with the wider team, and performed professionally when in contact with senior managers and the aviation minister”
• “he is an amazing young man, was punctual every day and presented himself well, he was polite and very helpful.  I have spoken to all the teams that he spent time with and they have all spoken very highly of him”
• “she was very hard working and used her own initiative, getting on with tasks even when not asked to”
• “the important thing for me is the opinion of the children who are our clientele and they really liked her.  Several of them asked where she was today (Monday) and were disappointed to hear she had finished her time with us”
• “we’ve recommended her for a Saturday job at another branch”
• “he built excellent working relationships with the students and really supported their learning and building of independent skills

and our favourite:

• “ he showed what a gentleman he was, as he was leaving on his first evening a large order was delivered and he put his bag down and immediately helped me unload without asking.  He is a credit to both yourselves and his parents”
