To learn more, please make reference to our published Assessment and Reporting Policy, which clarifies where and how student performance is assessed and explains the methodology used to ensure the information received is accurate, relevant and purposeful. The policy gives clear information to parents regarding the type of information they will receive and when they can expect to receive it.

Accountability performance measures are used by the Government to inform parents, students and other stakeholders about a school’s performance. It might also be helpful for you to know that, between 2016 and 2020, there has been a phased transition to a numerical grading system for GCSEs. GCSEs are now graded from 9 to 1, rather than A* to G, with grade 5 considered to be a good pass and grade 9 being the highest and set above the previous A*. The new system is intended to help to provide more differentiation, especially among higher achieving students.
