Designated Safeguarding Governor

Born and brought up in Devon, I completed my formal full time education at the University of Liverpool, and then spent the rest of my working life in the secondary education sector as a teacher. When I finally retired I was the Pastoral Deputy Head teacher in a school in Dover.

After completion of my working career, I have had the great privilege of being asked to serve as a Community Governor in a number of local schools. At Sandwich Technology School I am a member of the Learning and Development Team, and the designated Safeguarding Governor, the Chair of Governors  – and latterly the Vice Chair of Governors.

The Governing Body is dedicated to continuing the evolution and development  of STS to ensure its reputation and position as one of the most popular and successful  secondary schools in the East Kent area.
